Epic Photo Tours are for people who enjoy photography, travel and discovering unique cultures. Our carefully curated photographic expeditions take small groups to visually rich and culturally intact locations around the globe. We believe that in order to get excellent shots one must immerse themselves in the culture that they are visiting. We do ethno-photography with a strong bent towards portraiture, documentary photography and street photography. We do not do animal or safari photo trips.
Most of our photography expeditions are to locations off of the usual photo trip trail. We work with excellent local tour operators and all of our local guides have been vetted. Before we do a group trip we do a scouting trip and our lodging, restaurants and photo shoot locations have all been selected because of their sense of authenticity. We make the inaccessible accessible and these bespoke trips will get you into the thick of it so that you can capture exhibition quality images.
Our trips are for photography enthusiasts of all skill levels and certain trips are suitable for non photographer spouses. Our trips are active adventures and each trip goes at a different pace. On some trips we will linger and meander in a colorful market or little visited village where we can document the daily life's of the people. Each expedition will offer a wide range of photographic possibilities, whether it be a market an architectural ruin a tribal village a backwater houseboat or a field of lavender.

On our trips we offer have both individual and group photography critique, model shoots, private photography sessions, impromptu skill building lessons but no classroom instruction is given. This is neither a photography class or a sightseeing trip with cameras. We try to eat in local restaurants wherever possible and stay in hotels and lodges that have a certain ambiance. We want you to return home with a great portfolio and a real sense of the place you have just explored with your camera.
